I know, I know — everyone says it’s about more than pretty pictures. But for me, it really is. I want your photos to feel like you — not just beautiful, but full of meaning and connection...those little moments that actually tell your story.
Over time, I’ve realized that how I make my clients feel matters just as much as the photos themselves. This work isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence. About making space for you to be fully seen and completely at ease, so the images we create together feel real and lasting.

My love for photography started with my Grandpa, Ken DeCamp, a professional nature photographer known for his stunning images of Northern California’s native flowers. When I got my first digital camera—a Coolpix from Costco—he took me on hikes to capture the beauty around us, sparking a passion that only grew. After many adventures (and a few dropped cameras), he gifted me his old camera and brought me along on assignments documenting everything from fish migrations to hiking trail signs. Around the same time, my bonus mom, Anne, began her own photography journey focusing on people and life events, introducing me to the more personal side of the craft. In eighth grade, I asked Anne to teach me portrait photography, and after countless hand-me-down cameras and free sessions with friends, I turned my passion into a full-time career.

is the love I'm surrounded by.
As you know by now, I'm Katelyn Swan . The name Swan means a lot to me—it’s from my grandma, Ember Swan, who played a huge role in raising me and shaping who I am today. When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me running my horse ranch or hanging out with my two wild and wonderful kiddos, Ellouise and Sawyer. And I’ve been lucky enough to share life (and a lot of laughs) with my fiancé Clint for over ten years now. I was born in Oregon, grew up in California, spent some time in Texas, and eventually found my way back home—for family, the land, and those stunning Northern California views. All of this—the people I love, the animals I care for, and the places I call home—inspires how I see the world and the stories I want to tell through my camera.

She has been doing our photos for the past 5 years (and I get them done a lot lol) started off doing couples photos for us, my work headshots, then our engagement, then our wedding (fun fact: we were her first wedding!) and now both of our babies newborn photos and everything in between. She’s incredibly sweet, her edits are amazing, she will always send you all of the photos that turned out which means you get an insane amount of photos each session and her prices can’t be beat. My husband actually willingly takes photos because she’s so easy to work with and that’s saying something because he hates photos. She’s also done quite a bit of real estate photography for my listings and she’s phenomenal at that as well! Hire her, I promise you won’t regret it!
